Hey there, I'm Lakeesha!

I am so happy you're here! I can't wait to be a part of telling your story, but first here is a little of mine.

Get To Know Me

Somehow what started off as wanting to be a zoologist all through school made a sharp turn in another direction when I randomly decided to just forget all that and do the photography thing instead. And while the salary of a zoologist might be sounding real good right about now, I am just super grateful I went the other direction because it allowed me to stay home with my kids; Gavin who just turned 9 and Arrow who is 7. Is it always easy running a business from home while homeschooling two kids? .....No, not even a little bit...ever. But you really don't get this time back and it means the world to me that I get to be with them as much as I do. They are just awesome kids.

I grew up in small town Hope, IN. Small town life is 100% my vibe. Give me simplicity. Give me a good cup of coffee. Give me some beautiful sunsets. Give me sipping coffee on a front porch swing watching beautiful sunsets and I am in my element. I married my high school sweetheart, Justin, who I have been with since I was in 7th grade. We have been married going on 9 years now. Together 18. Which still blows my mind.

A few years back I had big dreams to start traveling and photographing families all over the country. I managed to get a few states in before I got sick with four blood clots in my lungs and an autoimmune diagnosis I get to live with for the rest of my life. I scaled down a little after that and took the reigns on my health a bit. BUT after dealing with all that for a few years I am excited to start jumping back into that and getting back out there again!

I really truly love what I get to do. It is WORK, but at the same time I can't believe this is what I get to do for a job. And for all of the amazing families who choose me to capture such cherished times in their lives. I am beyond grateful. I look forward to so much more to come!
